The latest version of IE7 (basically eliminated, and forced you, aaarrrgg), IE6, which is used as the FTP client will be some changes, and problems. Here are the main changes:
* URL, the syntax with embedded username and password
(ie @ ftp://usr:pswd ftp.domain.com)
and similar syntax is not supported.
* With regard to the "Enter As ..." There are a few more clicks, and in a new window will open.
* Indeed, so IE7 is not compatible with an anonymous registration is not at all ... You must specify the page in Windows Explorer.
Solutions
1) Continue to FTP sites using IE7, but when you click on "Log on as ...", do the following: Click on the page in the upper right corner and click on" Open FTP-Site in Windows Explorer. 3) The proposed solution - not compatible with IE or Explorer.
I never liked using Internet Explorer as an FTP client. As an IT manager, the problems caused by this have been more calls for my help than any other issue. Ie almost the worst thing I can think of an FTP client. So, what is the use? Well, There are many free FTP clients that much better. The first two I recommend are FileZilla and CuteFTP Free Trial. If you have a premium support and are willing to pay for them, I recommend Ipswitch WS_FTP way.
